Blue Bay

Blue Bay, located in the south-east of Mauritius, not far from Mahebourg, is a village which is known for its beach not by Mauritians, but also by tourists, who visit it as often as they can. Reflecting bright colours and a charming landscape, Blue Bay Beach is one of the most welcoming and visited ones on the island. Entertainment, modernity, peace, tranquility, what is there not to love about this village?

Sun, sand and good food
With white, delicate sand and shade provided by the filaos, Blue Bay is very suitable for family outings. Swimming is also very pleasant, thanks to its blue and sparkling water and its absence of coral. There are some popular restaurants not far from the beach, such as the Blue Bamboo, Restaurant Le Bougainville or even Le Bazilic, which offer some tasty Mauritian dishes and a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. The food is tasty and the reception is excellent. You'll feel comfortable there. Day trips by boat are also available in Blue Bay and fishing parties last a whole day.  You are even given a moment to dive and observe the fauna and flora, ensuring a safe dive. To the west of the beach, there is also a small pier to admire the beauty of the surroundings.. You will also have the chance to visit the Blue Bay Marine Park and discover the secrets of our lagoons.

Thanks to the glass bottom boat, you will be able to observe the different fish species and the coral reefs. The size of the marine park is 353 hectares. You can then dive to see more closely this magnificent scenery of nature. These outings attract a lot of visitors thanks to the positive comments that are quoted on social media about the Marine Park. A nature of such beauty can spark only awe and wonder.

Places to visit in the vicinity of Blue Bay
You can also go to La Pointe d’Esny, which is located in the area of Grand Port, not far from the beach of Blue Bay. It's kind of hard to find, but it's not impossible. La Pointe d’Esny Beach is a place that could get anyone dreaming. Apart from the enchanting sand and its hypnotic blue water, it bears nothing which forms part of a tourist attraction setting. There is no commercial area on this beach. You will appreciate the simplicity and the particularity of this little treasure. It has everything to please !

If you don't want to settle for sand and ocean, you can also visit the Jardin de Beau Vallon which is situated a few kilometers from Blue Bay. The Jardin de Beau Vallon is a very nice restaurant, surrounded by greenery and comfortable outdoors. You will appreciate the beauty of the place and the delicious dishes which are available. You won't regret it. Moreover, if shopping is your thing, you might want to visit the Bo’ Vallon Mall.

Sea lovers will definitely love Blue Bay. Its lagoon is so vast and rich, no wonder it was named Blue Bay!
