Two new malls open in Mauritius

Two commercial complexes have been added to the list in Mauritius. Namely:

    1. THE BO’VALLON MALL
Mahebourg can now boast having a brand new commercial centre. The Bo’Vallon Mall has been added to the group of commercial centres built by the Ascencia group. It is found some metres away from the Plaisance airport. Spread on some 10,000 square metres, the commercial complex houses 28 shops, a food court with 13 restaurants and a parking lot with 540 spots.

    The inauguration
The Bo’Vallon was inaugurated with good vibes on the 27th of November last. The minister of public infrastructure, Bobby Hureeram and the CEO of Ascencia, Frédéric Tyack have cut the ribbon together. The opening was done with authentic local music in the background, with a séga performance. The Mauritian singer Zulu also swept the audience off their feet.

    Caring for the environment
The new commercial centre also aims at protecting the environment. The Ascencia group has planned to install photovoltaic panels, so that Bo’Vallon Mall can produce solar energy. It has also committed to collecting and reusing rain water.

The little extra of Bo’Vallon Mall
The latest addition of Ascencia will spoil visitors with the shops and restaurants that are not not present in their other commercial centres. You can therefore enjoy your purchases at King Savers, Kidstar Closet or Espace Maison and eating and drinking at Kebstar, Mississippi Chicken or Lattelicious.

Adults consider making purchases and eating, while children think about playing. They have not been forgotten: a playground has been set up for them.

    2. THE VALENTINA MALL
Yusuf Sambon has gone through a journey requiring a lot of perseverance. Having started his business in a small shop called Hollywood, he today is the owner of two commercial complexes. One of them, that houses the Lolo hypermarket, is found at Morcellement St André, in the North of Mauritius. The other one, the Valentina Mall, has recently opened. It has no less than 15 shops and 650 parking spots.

    The opening
The commercial centre was inaugurated on the night of the 12th of December but it was open to the public on the next day. The minister of labour, Soodesh Callichurn, has cut the ribbon for the complex that is spread over 15,000 square metres. The launch included a firework show.

    Dressing up, eating and shopping
From clothing to food, the Valentina Mall combines pleasures. You can add to your wardrobe by buying from shops like Zariya Design Wear, Fashion Bazaar or Stylish Wear. To please one’s palate and stomach, one may head to the food court, where restaurants like Sitar, Zaiqa Food et Panarottis, amongst others, are found. Another Lolo hypermarket is found in the complex. According to Yusuf Sambon, the products will always be affordable.

    Saving on energy
The CEO of the Valentina Mall is equally conscious about the environment. He is considering the eventual installation of photovoltaic panels. In order to reduce energy consumption, the Valentina Mall will be equipped with freezers using smaller engines. Moreover, collected rain water will be used to wash cars and to clean up the commercial centre.

The year 2019 is ending on a good note with two new places to shop, eat and “kas poz” (relax), like the Mauritian says.
