Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Saturday 15 August
Ganesh Chaturthi - Wednesday 16 September

Mauritius has fifteen public holidays in its annual calendar. There are seven unchanging public holidays in the year and the remaining public holidays are religious celebrations whose dates vary from year to year.
For the year 2026, most of the public holidays are on weekdays, with the exception of six which fall on weekends.
Eid al-Fitr, the festival marking the end of Ramadan, is subject to confirmation as its celebration depends on the visibility of the moon.
